Design of methods for data analyses in epidemiological studies, searching for risk factors and modelling of diseases' risks

Characteristics of results and their assumed applications

The research led to new pieces of knowledge for collecting and analyses of data in epidemiological studies, especially in measuring of association of risk factors and in mathematical modelling of diseases' risks. A new epidemiological questionnaire and a programme facilitating data collection were designed. Prototypes of software tools for oncology (CRATES, BIANTA programmes) and prototypes of new programmes for data analyses in epidemiological studies and for a selection of essential information for decision making (E.T. and CORE programmes) were designed and developed. Further, a prototype of a programme for hypertension treatment and for an analysis of an association of the system HLA and diseases from data in population studies was developed.
