Curriculum Vitae

After having finished the leaving examination at the grammar school in Prague in 1994 he studied at the University of Finances and Administration in Prague. He finished university studies  in the year 2008 by passing the state exam and receiving the Ing. title. Since 2008 he has been a student of a post-gradual study programme of Biomedical Informatics at Charles University in Prague at the 1st Faculty of Medicine. In the period 1998-2002 he directed Karpo Consulting s.r.o. and since 2003 he has been executive head of the EuroMISE s.r.o., which is focusing on services in ICT field including software development, editorial activities,  research and development in the field of biomedical informatics. Since 2009 he has been working in the Institute of Computer Science of Academy of Sciences CR, in the Department of Medical Informatics where he focuses mainly on research concerning information extraction from plain-text medical summaries, clinical guidelines formal modelling and electronic health record.  In the year 2009 he passed successfully the Cambridge FCE international language exam in the English language. Since the year 2002 he has been participating in the Academy of Sciences CR program “Information Society” within the project Information Technologies for Development of Continuous Shared Health Care 1ET200300413 that achieved „excellent“ final evaluation.  Since the year 2005 he has been participating in the research Centre of Biomedical Informatics, the project of the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sport CR 1M06014 that in co-operation with the EuroMISE s.r.o. is issuing European Journal for Biomedical Informatics (www.ejbi.eu).
