Curriculum Vitae

Nowadays Miroslav Nagy pursues his PhD studies in the filed of biomedical informatics at Charles University in Prague, 1st Faculty of Medicine. In 2005 he finished master studies at Charles University in Prague, Faculty of Mathematics and Physics, specialization Computer Science, program Database Systems.
From May 2003 to December 2004 he participated in research works in the research centre called the EuroMISE Centre – Cardio in the Institute of Computer Science, Academy of Sciences of the Czech Republic (ICS AS CR). Most of all he dealt with problems in Electronic Health Record (EHR). Since July 2004 he has been a member of the researcher team in the project of the “Information Society” program of the Academy of Sciences CR called “Information technologies for development of continuous shared health care” (1ET200300413). He studies possibilities of medical data modeling in order to enable data exchange among various hospital information systems. He belongs to the developers’ team which deals with pilot implementation of a framework for establishing message interchange based on the HL7 v.3 communication standard. Among others activities in the project he studies the structured dental medical record. As a result of this work the sophisticated “Dental Cross” graphical component was developed. Miroslav Nagy is also one of the originators of the Czech patent proposal number PV 2005-229 concerning technologies of medical data structuralizing in the field of dentistry. Since 2005 he has been working in the Department of Medical Informatics, ICS AS CR. He works mainly on assignments concerning data modeling, implementation of developed systems and others. Since March 2006 he has been involved in the Centre of Biomedical Informatics (1M06014), the project of Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports CR. One of his main tasks in this project is the design and implementation of a software application necessary for data acquisition that will be used for evaluating the goals of the project in the filed of diagnosis and prognosis of cardiovascular diseases. Another field of his interest is the design of a computer assisted diagnosis system, therapy and prognosis in dentistry.
His language skills comprise of English, German and passive knowledge of Russian. In 2005 he got FCE (First Certificate in English) exam from University of Cambridge. Miroslav Nagy is a holder of the driver’s license of AM, B and B1 types..
