Curriculum Vitae

After having finished the study of the Institute of Chemical Technology in Prague, Faculty of Automatization and Economics (specialization on the automatization of chemical processes), Helena Heroutová worked in the Institute for Application Computer Science in Management. Her main interests were problems of large databanks and program libraries, information systems (e.g. electronization of national economy), operational control, adaptive computer-aided regulation of technological processes, modelling of economic management, statistical prognostic models, automatic patters recognition and other parts of artificial intelligence, in particular expert systems. She attended courses in programming in USERCODE, Algol, FORTRAN and PASCAL. In 1992-2000 she programmed in private capacity, particularly for the municipal authority of Prague 6. Since 2000 she has been working at the Department of Medical Informatics of the Institute of Computer Science of the Academy of Sciences of the Czech Republic and in the joint workplace EuroMISE research centre. She focuses mainly on programming in C++ Builder. She is a member of the Society of Biomedical Engineering and Medical Informatics of the Czech Medical Society of Jan Evangelista Purkyně.
