 Workshop on Semantic Interoperability in Healthcare

 

On May 12th, 2009 the Section of Medical Informatics of the Society of Biomedical Engineering and Medical Informatics of the Czech Medical Society of Jan Evangelista Purkyne and the Centre of Biomedical Informatics, Institute of Computer Science AS CR organized the workshop on Semantic Interoperability in Healthcare. The workshop took place in the lecture hall of the Czech Medical Society of Jan Evangelista Purkyne in Prague.

During the first part these themes were presented: Interoperability and semantic interoperability from the e3Health point of view; Semantic interoperability of electronic health records based on the HL7 ver.3 standard and on international classification systems; Usage of international classification systems in medical reports; Interoperability from the Czech eHealth point of view, and Semantic interoperability from telemedicine point of view.

After the break presentations with these themes were presented: Aims and main features of the SEWEBAR-Cardio project; Computer-aided evaluation of cardiovascular diseases’ risks; Unified usage of parameters in medical guidelines, and Usage of ontological representation of medical knowledge for semantic interoperability.
